Jammu & Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (J&K EDI)

Applications  from eligible candidates are invited on prescribed form for the positions detailed below on deputation/contract basis initially for a period of two years.

Professor/Chief Faculty -01

Qualification: Ph.D or equivalent in Management/Economics/Sociology with 10 years relevant experience in regular cadre of which at least 5 years experience in the pay scale of Associate Professor/Reader.

Desirable: Experience of designing organizing and conducting training Programmes/research

Job Description:
-Providing overall coordination and professional leadership under the guidance of the Director;
-Networking with other sister Institutes working in various parts of the country (State as well as National level);
-Establishing Institutional linkages for growth of the organization;
-Vision building, manpower planning, revenue generation etc. for the Institute;
-Identification of training needs;
-Professional counseling;
-Developing proposals, establishing rapport and liaison with Government and other key Institutions/Organizations/Departments;
-Planning in-house capacity building in co-ordination with senior faculty members;
-Implementing/executing programmes/workshops for senior policy makers/stakeholders;
-Arranging documentation and publication of different periodicals issued by the Institute;
-Perform any other work assigned by the Director.

Pay Scale: Rs. 16400-450-20000

Associate Professor/Sr. Faculty (Ent’ship & Gen. Mgmt.)

Associate Professor/Senior Faculty (Floriculture)

Qualification: Ph.D. or equivalent in Floriculture with 7 years relevant experience in regular cadre with at least 5 years experience in the pay scale of Faculty/Assistant Faculty.

Desirable :Experience of designing, organizing and conducting training programmes/research.

Job Description:
-Conceiving, designing, developing new courses/programmes;
-Developing, up-grading course material/cases;
-Co-ordinating various training programmes/activities of the Institute;
-Providing professional support during the programmes conducted for specific target groups viz., existing entrepreneurs, cluster related interventions, new enterprise creation programmes etc. ;
-Documentation/compilation of success stories;
-Developing proposals;
-Perform any other work assigned by the Director/Chief Faculty

Pay Scale: Rs. 12000-375-18300

Lecturer/Assistant Faculty (Information Technology)

Lecturer/Assistant Faculty (Food Technology)

Qualification: Masters in Food Technology with 55% marks in the subject concerned.

Desirable : 2 years teaching/training/research experience

Lecturer/Assistant Faculty (Projects)

Qualification: Masters Degree in Management (MBA) with 55% marks.

Job Description:
-Conducting training programmes at grass root level;
-Implementing, co-ordinating various activities of the Institute;
-Providing post programme follow-up support to the trainees of various programmes;
-Providing day-to-day support to senior faculty members in achieving organizational goals;
-Data Analysis and Report/writing etc.;
-Perform any other work assigned by the Director/Chief Faculty/Senior Faculty.

Pay Scale: Rs. 8000-275-13500
