The Bioinformatics Group leader will lead the bioinformatics groups at Genotypic: Array design, Bioinformatics applications/tools development and Next generation sequence Analysis and mentor a group of multi-disciplinary bioinformaticians. Candidate should possess practical expertise in handling high throughput sequencing projects and Sequence Analysis. Experience in working at the core facility or a service unit is an added advantage. The candidate should have hands-on experience in DNA sequence Analysis, Variation scoring, Sequence Annotations, Motif discovery and Statistical Analysis of sequence variation. The position requires a PhD. in computational Biology/ Bio-informatics. Candidates holding a PhD in Molecular Biology with Bioinformatics experience are also eligible to apply.

This position requires candidates with excellent communication skills, dynamism, thirst for Innovation and capacity to be independent. Sound administrative skills and participative management skills will be an advantage.
