Junior Scientist – Next Gen Sequencing will be part of an exciting team working on an emerging field in Bioinformatics- Next Gen Sequencing. He/ She should be proficient in LINUX and familiar with Bioinformatics tools and applications specifically Sequence Analysis like BLAST, ClustalW, Motif discovery tools and Genome viewer. The candidate should also posses very good programming skills in one or more of these languages – PERL, Python, Java and C. Working Knowledge on statistical analysis tools like R, MATLAB and others is desirable. Hands on experience in Spreadsheet and database operations will be an added advantage.
This position requires candidates with a Masters degree in Bioinformatics OR Life sciences with at least 1 year of work experience. A PG Diploma in Bioinformatics will be an added advantage. Good communication skills and ability to be organized and independent. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
