Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) in its Silver Jubilee Year (2009 – 10) is organizing an International Conference of the functionaries of IGNOU Learner Support Centres in India, Partner Institutions of IGNOU outside India, State Open Universities, Open Universities of SAARC countries and the corporate learning bodies.

Sub Themes

  1. Measures to enhance GER (Gross Enrolment Ratio) – The roles of different functionaries in Open and Distance Learning (ODL) in enhancing GER,
  2. Defining dropouts in the context of ODL,
  3. Dropout rate, causes for dropout and measures to retain students on roll,
  4. Success rate in terms of pass out, employability, social acceptability and institutional credibility.
